Samuel Ross, LCSW
CLINICAL EXPERTISE
Samuel provides individualized, evidence-based therapy to adults navigating mood disorders, substance use, trauma, ADHD, personality disorders, and life transitions. With over 10 years of experience supporting adult populations across diverse clinical settings, he utilizes modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). He currently owns and operates his own private practice in Decatur, Georgia.
Prior to his current practice, Samuel served as a Clinical Supervisor and Therapist at Atlanta Therapy + Wellness. In this role, he supervised associate therapists on their licensure requirements, managed a clinical caseload, and collaborated with the CEO on practice development and operational efficiency. Samuel also has a strong background in program leadership, having served as a Transitional Living Manager at Skyland Trail in Atlanta. There, he managed a residential program supporting adults in mental health recovery, supervised staff, ensured adherence to accreditation standards, and spearheaded program development.
Samuel possesses extensive experience in treating co-occurring disorders at higher levels of care. As a Dual Diagnosis Primary Counselor at Skyland Trail, he managed therapeutic interventions for residential and day treatment clients in the substance use recovery track, leading group therapy sessions and coordinating interdisciplinary care. Previously, at the DeKalb Addiction Clinic, he provided comprehensive crisis assessments, care coordination, and led group therapy focused on building a recovery community. Early in his career, Samuel completed a clinical social work internship at Silver Hill Hospital and served as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at The Kennedy Center, where he managed cases for clients with intellectual disabilities and comorbid mental health and behavioral issues.
