Samuel Ross, LCSW

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Sam provides evidence-based therapy to adults and couples. In addition to his own private practice, Sam has over 10 years of experience as a therapist, supervisor, and program manager. Sam has worked in hospitals and treatment centers, group private practice, and outpatient clinics. Sam has extensive experience providing clinical supervision and training to associate therapists in multiple treatment settings.

As the Transitional Living Program Manager at Skyland Trail, Sam oversaw a program providing independent living skills and community inclusion to adults in mental health recovery. Prior to this position, he was a counselor on the Dual Diagnosis Recovery Track. Sam provided both individual and group therapy, psychoeducation for family members, crisis interventions, and care coordination. Sam has also worked at Dekalb Addiction Clinic providing outpatient group therapy and crisis assessments. Prior to licensure, Samuel completed his internships at Silver Hill Hospital and the Rowan Center in Connecticut.

Before becoming a therapist, Sam worked in special education and supporting adults with intellectual disabilities through vocational rehabilitation and social inclusion programs. Sam lives in Decatur with his partner and enjoys hiking in the woods, exploring restaurants and biking in Atlanta, traveling, baking, and playing board games.
